Segundo informações do jornal Clarín, o anúncio foi feito no início da colheita para evitar que a mercadoria saísse do país. A medida interrompe as vendas e exportações da safra 2021/22, mas os embarques físicos não foram iniciados porque não houve colheita.

Atualmente, a Argentina é o maior produtor e exportador mundial de óleo e farelo de soja. O país deverá responder por 41% das exportações globais de farelo de soja e 48% das exportações mundiais de óleo de soja na safra 2021/22.

Atualmente, os derivados da soja – óleo e farelo – são taxados em 31% de imposto. O grão é taxado em 34%. A expectativa é padronizar os três produtos em 34%.

Argentina suspended the registration of export sales of soybean oil and meal. According to analysts, the measure adopted by the local government is the first step towards a possible increase in export tariffs.
