Após reunião no início de março com o Ministério dos Portos e Aeroportos, o ministro Márcio França, confirmou a manutenção da autoridade portuária pública por mais 35 anos ao Porto de Itajaí, além de agilidade no leilão do terminal.
A novidade é que, além do município, o governo federal também terá uma participação no novo modelo de gestão, permitindo o aporte de investimentos para desenvolvimento do complexo portuário.
Um grupo de trabalho formado por representantes do município, do porto e da sociedade civil organizada vai elaborar um documento para embasar o novo edital do leilão de concessão do terminal, já adaptado ao atual modelo de gestão. Uma proposta deverá ser enviada em 30 dias.

Port of Itajaí (SC) will remain municipal for 35 years
After a meeting in early March with the Ministry of Ports and Airports, Minister Márcio França confirmed the maintenance of public port authority for another 35 years for the Port of Itajaí in addition to agility in the terminal auction.
