As exportações da cidade de Sorocaba, em São Paulo, cresceram 30% no primeiro trimestre deste ano, na comparação com o mesmo período de 2021. Entre janeiro e março deste ano, as vendas das empresas da cidade para outros países somaram US$ 72,2 milhões, ante US$ 55,6 milhões no ano passado. Assim, nos três primeiros meses de 2022, o município exportou US$ 16,6 milhões a mais do que em 2021. Os dados constam no Levantamento Exportação e Importação Municípios.
O diretor titular do Centro das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (Ciesp), Erly Domingues de Syllos, explicou que as indústrias de máquinas agrícolas e automotivas da cidade puxaram a alta das exportações. Vale ressaltar que o setor de máquinas agrícolas está aquecido no Brasil e no mundo.
Segundo o especialista, as exportações só não foram maiores devido à falta de insumos industriais. As indústrias sorocabanas têm enfrentado dificuldades para importar matérias-primas da Europa, como por exemplo aço, alumínio e plástico.

Exports from Sorocaba city (São Paulo) grew 30% in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period in 2021. Between January and March of this year, sales by companies in the city to other countries totaled US$ 72, 2 million, compared to US$ 55.6 million last year.
