Itajaí (SC) assumiu a liderança nacional na exportação de embarcações de lazer e esporte nos primeiros quatro meses de 2026. Os dados do Comex Stat, plataforma vinculada ao Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços, apontam que o município catarinense exportou US$ 4,3 milhões em lanchas, iates e outras embarcações de recreio ou esporte entre janeiro e abril deste ano.
O resultado coloca a cidade no topo do ranking nacional do segmento e reforça a sua relevância na cadeia produtiva da indústria náutica brasileira.
A liderança de Itajaí nas exportações ocorre em um contexto de crescimento da chamada Economia do Mar em Santa Catarina. Segundo levantamento da Secretaria de Estado do Planejamento, as atividades relacionadas ao uso produtivo do mar empregam cerca de 250 mil trabalhadores no estado, o equivalente a 8,5% da força de trabalho formal catarinense.
O estudo considera atividades ligadas à pesca, aquicultura, fabricação de barcos e navios, transporte marítimo, turismo, logística, serviços e indústrias de apoio. Itajaí aparece entre os municípios catarinenses com maior número de trabalhadores formais vinculados à Economia do Mar, ao lado de Florianópolis e Joinville.

Itajaí is a national leader in boat exports and the maritime economy
Itajaí (SC) has taken the national lead in the export of leisure and sports vessels in the first four months of 2026. Data from Comex Stat, a platform linked to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, indicates that the city in Santa Catarina exported US$4.3 million in motorboats, yachts and other recreational or sports vessels between January and April of this year.
This result places the city at the top of the national ranking in the segment and reinforces its relevance in the Brazilian nautical industry’s production chain.
Itajaí’s leadership in exports occurs within a context of growth in the so-called Maritime Economy in Santa Catarina. According to a survey by the State Secretariat of Planning, activities related to the productive use of the sea employ approximately 250,000 workers in the state, equivalent to 8.5% of the formal workforce in Santa Catarina.
The study considers activities related to fishing, aquaculture, boat and ship manufacturing, maritime transport, tourism, logistics, services, and support industries. Itajaí appears among the municipalities in Santa Catarina with the highest number of formal workers linked to the Blue Economy, alongside Florianópolis and Joinville.
