No primeiro semestre, a receita foi de US$ 539,4 milhões, retração de 4,7% frente ao mesmo período de 2025 e de 16,4% em relação a 2024.
Segundo matéria do site Broadcast, ocorreu uma mudança em função da participação dos diferentes tipos de couro exportados.
O couro é dividido em categorias conforme o nível de processamento, tais como: couro salgado, wet blue, crust ou semiacabado, couro acabado e as aparas, retalhos e recortes provenientes de diferentes etapas do processamento, gerados ao longo da cadeia produtiva, incluindo os couros reconstituídos.
Nesse contexto, ou seja, de redução do faturamento mesmo diante do volume recorde, a menor participação do couro acabado levou à redução do faturamento, resultando em um volume recorde, mas com menor receita.

Leather exports hit record high in the first half of the year
Leather exports reached a record high in June, totaling 324,000 tons. Although the volume shipped was the highest on record for the first half of the year, revenue declined.
In the first half of the year, revenue totaled US$ 539.4 million—a drop of 4.7% compared to the same period in 2025 and 16.4% compared to 2024.
According to a report by the *Broadcast* news outlet, this shift was driven by changes in the mix of leather types exported.
Leather is categorized based on processing levels—such as salted, wet-blue, crust (or semi-finished), and finished leather—as well as trimmings, scraps, and offcuts generated at various stages of the production chain, including reconstituted leather.
In this context—where revenue fell despite record volumes—the lower share of finished leather in the export mix drove the decline in earnings, resulting in record volume but lower revenue.
